How To Use Private Label Rights Articles Successfully

Filed Under (Business Success, Home Business, Network Marketing) by Kevin Sinclair on 29-06-2007

Many people have joined a private label rights service. They get hundreds of new articles and even full length ebooks every month. They can publish these articles to increase the content on their web sites. They can use the ebooks as new products or as promotional items for visitors who sign up for their newsletters.

Not only can members of private label rights services use the articles and ebooks, but they can publish the material under their own name. This gives them added authority in the eyes of their site’s visitors and increases the likelihood of a visitor making a purchase, or at least returning to their site.

But, one thing you should consider about publishing any private label rights article on your site is its potential to be considered as “duplicate content.” If you are publishing an article that can be found on another site, your article can be considered duplicate content. While translations of articles and short quotes are not considered duplicate content, major portions of, or the entire content of articles can be flagged as duplicate content.

Understand that search engines want to present a full spectrum of relevant information to their search users. If a number of items on the search results page contain essentially the same content, the search engine user will not be pleased with the results of their search. Such a user may well decide that the search results were below their expectations and decide to use other search engines in the future.

Google is one search engine that considers duplicate content negatively. Google penalizes duplicate content by trying to index only one version of an article. If Google believes you are trying to manipulate the search algorithm by using duplicate content they may also make downward ranking adjustments to your site.

If you are using private label content, you can find out how many other sites are using that same content by selecting a sentence from an article, putting quotes around it, and entering that sentence into a search engine. Often you’ll find 10, 50, or 100 other sites with the same article.

I used the first sentence of a private label rights article in a Google search and found only 5 results. But, the duplicate content message was displayed: “In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 5 already displayed. If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.” When I clicked to see all the items, there were 53 items, more than 10 times as many as originally indicated.

I did the same search on MSM’s Live Search and found 31 items.

Try this with a couple of private label content articles you have published on your site. Do your results indicate that your private label content articles may be flagged as duplicate content and thus not found by the average search engine user?

If so, how can you safely utilize private label rights content on your site?

First, you should add a new first paragraph to the article. This paragraph can relate the information that follows to the rest of your site and provide a smooth introduction to the new material.

Second, you should rewrite substantial portions of the first two or three paragraphs. Just state the concepts of those paragraphs in your own words. I like to read a few sentences in a paragraph and then reword them in my own style. Then I delete the original sentences and continue with the next sentences.

This process creates at least three or four paragraphs totally in your own words that are very unlikely to be duplicated elsewhere.

Just how may paragraphs you rewrite is up to you. The more your rewrite the better off you will be. And, the more you change, the more original the article will appear to both the search engines and your site’s visitors.

Third, write a new closing paragraph. Make this a summary of the article. You may also include a lead-in to another page on your site with a link to that page.

Private label rights articles can be very helpful. They can provide research that would take you many hours to perform. All you have to do to effectively use the results of that research is to state the ideas in your own words and thus, avoid the duplicate content penalty.

Filed Under (Business Success, Home Business, Network Marketing) by Kevin Sinclair on 26-06-2007

There are a couple of things the novice or marketer newbie can do to improve vastly their Internet marketing results. When people decide to start a Internet home business, they are usually in less than favorable financial circumstances and look to cut their investment wherever they can. This leads them to seek out and use cheap or in most cases free services to help get them going in their new business.

The problem with this is it often end up costing more money than what it saves you. The first places people will usually turn to are free e-mail accounts from the likes of Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, and others. The problem with this is they have just lumped themselves in the same category of many spammers and other less then reputable online marketers that use these accounts like revolving doors to use and throw away when they get closed down.

The other main problem with this is one loses their golden opportunity to brand themselves and make themselves and their product stand out as something different. Also many people when evaluating the validity of an offer and a marketer start with the e-mail address when it says Hotmail or one of the many other free services it says amateur and unprofessional. How can you expect others to take you seriously if your not even willing to invest a lousy $10 a year into a domain name that says who you are.

The other reason your own domain name is a good idea is it now gives you the ability to make your own website with your company name on it and your unique address that makes you stand out and brands you and your company. This also goes a long way toward making you look legitimate, professional, and serious about your business. You now have one place you can send your potential clients to that will give them more information about whom they are about to do business with.

Many of these marketers receive misinformation that you can start a Internet business for nothing, little or free and make incredible riches for doing basically nothing. This is not true it and is often an out and out lie. The Internet is no different then building a business in the physical world, it will take time, hard work, and dedication and yes capital investment.

While it is true, you can spend substantially less money in creating a Internet business do not cheap out on the things that are going to help you stand out from the rest of the crowd. If you do not give yourself the very most basic tools, to start with you are going to end up making your new business a much harder time to get started then it has to be.

So lose the free e-mail and start branding yourself with a great domain name and you will already be ahead of about 95% of newbie and novice marketers out there. Put your new domain name on everything you can from your car to your business card this will help drive some free traffic to you.

The Key to Successful Leadership

Filed Under (Business Success, Home Business, Network Marketing) by Kevin Sinclair on 23-06-2007

Are leaders born or made? The old adage states that leaders are in fact born. I disagree with that partially. Anyone can learn to become a leader, and be a successful one at that. That is the key, learning. Leadership is a process, one that requires learning and understanding.

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between the leaders in network marketing and the people that struggle everyday? They have an understanding, that in order to be successful you must take what each day gives you and learn from it and grow. Being a successful leader simply requires that you never stop learning. I have always believed that the day you stop learning is really the day you stop living. In business, they day you stop learning is the day that your business stops growing.

Business Leadership

First you must understand the difference between management and leadership. Management controls and directs people and resources using already established guidelines. Whereas leadership is when you set new directions and create a new vision for group. This difference is where people get lost. Look at your business, are you giving the people under you the same information that you were given to start your business or are you the one looking for ways to improve the business, not only for yourself but those people under you. A successful business leader is someone who is constantly looking for ways to improve and grow and teach his followers the same.

The process of learning for business leadership means that you spend the time to become familiar with the different theories of leadership. Practice your skills daily in all areas of your life. Family, friends, your co-workers, the neighbor next door, the clerk at the grocery store will see by your actions the type of leader that you are by the way you interact with them. How you live your life, the organization and attention to responsibilities that you have. Being a successful leader of your self proves that you can be a successful business leader.

Learning is so important

Survey after survey shows that overall that at least 92% find learning to be a confidence builder and enjoyable. Learning something new and mastering that gives you a sense of accomplishment and purpose. In the last century we have progressed from the Industrial Age through the Information Age to now the Knowledge Age. It will be vital to be able to obtain, assimilate and apply knowledge, the right knowledge effectively over the next hundred years. Success of a person will no longer be based solely on what they have done but also by what they will be able to do. How willing that person will be to learn and adapt in the future.

Learning is the key to achieving our fullest potential. It has the power to transform us, allowing us to become more successful at home, at work and within our community. Learning helps us find new solutions to our problems and change not only our own attitude but those of the people around us.

Ways to Learn

It is scientifically proven that people learn in different ways. Understanding how you learn is the key to making learning fun. There are people that learn best by reading. If you are one of those people then read books on leadership, philosophy, psychology and famous leaders. Learning to understand people and yourself are important in becoming a successful leader. Some people learn by listening, so use technology to help you. There are books on CD and audio, you can even download them on to an iPod or MP3 player. Some people learn by doing, so they get the idea and then they try it, practice it and perfect it. Maybe you are one of those people that learn better by combining the different techniques. There isn’t any one right way to learn, and the only people that can’t learn are those that don’t want to.

Lead Through Learning

People have to believe that they can achieve something that seems beyond their reach. So offering an encouraging and supportive environment helps to increase their willingness to try. It is a wonderful thing to be a leader that is constantly evolving and finding new ways to improve, but you also need to offer those opportunities to the people that you are leading.

Repetition is also important to leading through learning. The chances of a person retaining a concept that has been introduced to them dramatically increases the more that they are exposed to it. So don’t just show them on Monday and figure that they will be able to use it the following Monday. Less then 2% of people will be able to remember and use the concept. People need to be exposed to a concept 6 times in the course of a week. They then will retain that for 15 years. How can I prove this, look at TV commercials - who doesn’t remember the little gray haired lady yelling “Where’s the beef?!” Repetition, repetition, repetition is the key to success.

To be a successful leader, you must be a lifelong learner. Leadership does not only apply to our professional lives, but our personal life as well. From the way we handle a situation at work to the way we interact with the everyday people in our life. Being a leader is not something that you do, it is something that you are.

5 Key Reasons Why You Need To Use Article Marketing

Filed Under (Business Success, Free Traffic, Home Business) by Kevin Sinclair on 20-06-2007

Whether you run a business totally online, or you operate a brick-and-mortar business and have a supplemental website, you need to implement article marketing. If you aren’t marketing your business with articles, you’re missing a huge chunk of the marketing pie. Let me give you a few reasons why.

Reason #1: Article marketing is free. Every business owner knows that advertising isn’t cheap. Every newspaper or magazine ad you run costs you dearly. By spending just a little extra time writing and submitting several articles each month, you’ll save quite a bit of money. Best yet, article marketing doesn’t cost you a dime–just a few hours every week.

Reason #2: Article marketing brands your business. Have you ever wondered how some businesses seem to become so well-known in such a short amount of time? They’re getting their name out there. They’re giving away something of value for free to their potential customers. Your articles will brand your business and make it a well-known name.

Reason #3: Article marketing makes you an expert. If you write articles about the subjects you know well, you’ll quickly become known as an expert in your field. Do you run a website on bird watching? Writing and submitting fifty articles on bird watching will show people that you know what you’re talking about.

Reason #4: Article marketing teaches you how to relate to people. You can’t write a bunch of articles without learning how to communicate effectively. The more you write, the more you’ll learn how to get your message across in a friendly, personal tone.

Reason #5: Article marketing creates back links to your website. Without getting into the technical details of this, back links to your website are good and you’ll want lots of them. Back links help boost your rankings in the search engines, thus gaining more exposure for your website.

Remember that article marketing isn’t the cure-all answer to advertising your business; it’s one piece of the pie. You also can’t submit a handful of articles one time and expect to see results.

Article marketing requires persistence and patience. You should plan to spend a certain number of hours each week writing and submitting articles to promote your business. Pencil in this time faithfully and stick to it. Within a few months (maybe even a few short weeks!), you’ll begin to see the results of your hard work pay off.
