If you are an Internet entrepreneur you know the many challenges you face everyday trying to turn a profit. One challenge often overlooked is the attitude we bring to our office everyday.
I don’t care if your office is on a lounge chair on your deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You still have to watch what you think about. Having a negative attitude can rob you of money in your bank account!
So what can you do to preserve a positive attitude?
1. Keep the reasons you are working online in front of you always. Write them down and tape them to the side of your monitor. Look at them once in awhile too.
Try writing your big reason down rather than a long list of goals that you quickly toss in the trash. This is why most New Year’s Resolutions fail.
They become nothing more than a long list of bothersome words! Plus many of them need something that becomes not that important.
When it comes to setting goals for your Internet business you can fall into the same trap. This is why you are better to focus on your “why” and not a list of goals.
If your why is meaningful to you then you will work harder to achieve it.
2. Keep a daily to do list and start it off with one easy task you can carry out. This makes sense for several reasons.
One is it gets you in the habit of becoming action oriented. It is too easy to procrastinate away our day when we work for ourselves on the Internet.
Also, it moves your business forward. If you perform one thing every day, 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year, you are doing 250 things that year. That is impressive.
As you work through your daily to do list cross items off when you finish them. This is very motivating and helps you focus on the next task on the list and helps you stay positive.
Finally create some of tomorrow’s list the night before. This gives you a starting point to jump right in. You can always add to it as you go about your day.
There is no doubt a bad attitude can affect our productivity and eventually our profits. Follow the tips in this article and it will help you stay more positive and accomplishment oriented.
